Hi Marc,

I think you are just seeing supply and demand pricing on Amazon. The higher priced items are from third-party sellers and Amazon either doesn't sell that variety or is out of it. So the whoever the third party is is going to jack up the price and sell it for what they can.

With respect to the oil for your Honda, I run the High Mileage 5W30 in my old Ford 460 to good effect. The High Mileage is indeed to compensate for the possibility of leaky seals; something Honda engines are typically not known for, though I presume no ill effect from running it.

Don't know where you live, and I just picked up a couple of those 5 quart bottles at the Walmart at Normandie and 190th in Torrance. They had pallets of Mobil 1 in the 5 quart bottles in the $28ish range.
