Both those oils are too thin for GMC except in very cold weather opperation. 10w-30 or 10w-40 or 5w-40 are better types. I have no skin in game but only run 5w-40 Rotella full synthetic T6 with no problems. Good cold flow after long sitting times. Price is $21 gallon on sale.
Most hi mileage oils have gasket sealing agents to swell gaskets. No thanks.
