The tankless makes sense to me if one does little or no dry camping. Given a pretty much unlimited water supply and a dump, the long hot shower becomes a possibility. Had I kept the 23' - rear tub - I would have installed one. Soaking in the tub after standing on concrete in a show ring all day is one of life's simple pleasures. I could and did do so with the tank heater, but it had to be set to fairly hot water to make a tub full of bearable water.
