To give some hope to Dave, my wife Judy had a similar stroke in February 2013. Vision was the only thing really affected; vision in upper left quadrant of both eyes lost along with balance and depth perception. Rehab mostly consisted of doing visual puzzles such as "word seek" to help her relearn to scan and turn her whole head to the left to do so. After about 7 or 8 months she had recovered well enough to start driving her car again. Unfortunately, riding her Harley became a thing of the past so we traded our two-wheelers in on a Harley trike in 2014. She sure does miss riding her own bike, though, as her view from the rear seat is limited. It's sort of like being other than the lead dog of a dogsled team; the view doesn't change very much!

Her stroke was just after her 73rd birthday and she'll be 78 in February.
