As I understand the problem, the easiest way to remove the rear cap is through one of the rear side windows. Windows are not hard to remove and re-install. Just have help. I found the double suction cup glass handle available at Harbor Freight makes handling the window easier. It's a great tool. I personally have removed/replaced six of the rear windows on three different coaches.
Have help, extra hands are also necessary.
