I swapped my barrel chairs for a bunk with another owner... and did not have the ceiling hooks either. In typical fashion, I looked around my shop for something that would work. I had two of these stainless tools in my sailboat toolbox https://www.murrays.com/product/01-0006/ They are to tighten and loosen sailboat shackles. I cut off the end at the can opener and bolted through the nut shaped hole. The belt hook fits tightly in the slot when under weight. The downside is that they hang below ceiling height so if you are over 6 foot, you can hit your head on them... which would really hurt!
