If you want a small sedan, the Honda Fit, at about 2500 pounds tows nicely. If you get one before 2014, the automatic ones can be towed 4 wheels down. 2014 and later went to a CVT transmission an can no longer be towed without a dolly. I have now towed a 2013 auto trans one about 10,000 miles and am a happy tower.
