I use one similar to that and see no down side to them. Anything that makes your servicing your batteries easier is a real win. You will still have to keep an eye on the terminals of course, and a slide out tray will make checking them much simpler.
I use a system on my SOB that also vents through the caps to the outside with tube. Lets you mount wet cells just about anywhere you like.
