For the whole time I've owned my coach, the fuel senders have operated over
a resistance range of 240 ohms at empty and 33 ohms at full. I've been
using some goofy maring gauge that operates on that range, but the floats
on those senders don't cover the whole range of the tank anyway.
Earlier this year, I bought a couple of new senders from JimK, and an
Autometer 0-90 Ohm gauge to match my other gauges.
But the senders wire a bit differently, and I want to make sure I'm doing
it right. The new senders have an insulated connector with a spade, and a
screw-down/spade dual connector that is welded to the cap (and therefore
grounded).
I'm assuming that the brown and brown/stripe wires go to the insulated
connectors, and the black wires to the connectors that are grounded to the
sender top plate.
Confirmation of that, or correction, would be welcome.
