KEEP BOTH filters installed. I one time drove a coach from California to Ohio. It had some rust in the tanks. The inline Wix filter filled up and had to be replaced every second day. At the same time the carb filter clogged had also had to be replaced every second day. They always clogged on opposite days. I went through 6 filters filters on the trip changing one or the other every day.
