My friend is trying to fix some issues, and came across

http://possy.de/whatis.jpg

Anyone know what that is for?

Peer,

The picture is pretty good, but the interesting feature is still kind of hidden.
My guess, based on some experience, would be that it is a pressure tap from the fuel line. Some PO silver brazed a 1/4 SAE flare in there and then the pressure gauge and line was removed. Along the way the fitting got capped, but he didn't have a 1/4 SAE flare cap, he just used what he had.

I like the fact that the rubber line is starting to crack.

Matt - hold up at the FMCA lot in Cinci
