Was the Halinan coach the one in this photo in Christchurch?
I sent an email to the Brick Works pub advertised on the sign in the photo to see if they had any information on the coach.

Hello Peter,

You have a correct contact however the GMC was my brother's. Unfortunately it was totally destroyed in a property fire some 2 or 3 years ago. The insurance company dumped the remains I understand. Regards, Roger


I'll Email Roger Hallinan and get some more information about his brother and his GMC. Then I'll try the other end of NZ where the other GMC was supposed to be.
