I just finished installing a macerator on my Royale. Each tank empties through a valve, then into a 4-way cross, then to a tee for the macerator, then a single valve for the old 3" dump backup. The 4-way cross is fed from the black tank on the drivers side, the grey tank on the passenger side, the macerator tee aft downstream, and a reducer to a 1" fresh water supply forward. The fresh water supply piping has a check valve ahead of the 4-way cross connection. The macerator is switched with an exterior key switch. The switch, 1" macerator hose, and a 1-1/2" PVC electrical conduit for hose storage are all gathered at the passenger side between the end of the coach and the bumper.

I haven't used it yet, but my plan is to first connect the fresh water hose with the hose bib off and pull the macerator hose out of its storage pipe and run it over to the dump. Then open the black water tank valve and turn on the macerator. Next, open the grey water valve and dump. Next, turn on the fresh water hose bib and flush the cross, tee, macerator, and 1" dump hose. Finally, turn off the hose bib, wait a minute or two and shut down the macerator, store the macerator and fresh water hoses, close the valves, and drive off.
