From the wire building and SAE spec testing program I learned not to try to terminale wires at home. The factory machines do a way better job. Any scratches in the inside of the boot from sliding over the connectors are a potential moisture and oil intrusion point and spark leakage point getting worse over time. The machines do a perfect crimp, then fingers stretch the boot so it is not scratched inside while going over connector. A case where hand crafted is worse!
