I agree about the group sites, but if we wait for one of them, we blow the
chance, possibly, for one of the other areas. My thoughts regarding
Farewell Bend is that it appears to be closer to the max line for the
eclipse. It is a bit over 11 driving hours from me, so I could still make
it home with time to spare before Deo's River Cruise trip. The cove would
be a few hours closer, but a bit further from max line. And, as this might
be only time I will do this, I think closer is better. People I was talking
with at the rally, also didn't care distance, etc. Just wanted the best
experience possible.
Given these thoughts do you still prefer the Cove?
