Judy and I were talking over breakfast this morning, and I was recalling
some of the events that I observed during the last eclipse many years ago
when my kids were little. Picture if you will, a tie dyed rag-tag assembly
of hippie chicks at a place called Maryhill Museum on the Washington side
of the Columbia Gorge. There stands, not far from the Museum, a replica of
sorts, of Stonehenge. It seemed to be a gathering place for every weird
person of the time. Half clad barefooted females who all looked to not have
bathed in the last 6 months or so, Dread locked guys who reeked of pot
smoke and body odor, more VW busses than I have seen in one place before or
since then.
I had a brief mental picture of some of the ladies in the GMC community
presently dancing and waving their hands and arms in the air during the
eclipse and I darned near choked on my oatmeal and cranberries. Don't know
if it was a flashback or a flashfront, but it was funny enough to us that I
thought I should share it with the GMC community. Ohh what tricks our minds
can play on us. Love it. GMCs and memories. It just does not get any better
than this.
