Jim, have you a source for the circuit boards? If there's a job shop already set up to etch and drill them, they ought to be fairly cheap. The box is going to be the most costly part. Get a stack of the boards and you can built up a btach of five or ten when you need them.
I find mine more valuable than a logger or a phone sending gauge, even if I had such a phone (I have a $15 phone from WalMart. I talk on it). The DigiPanel gets a test when I fire up the coach. Then, should something get out of tolerance like a dying alternator, it squawks a me and gets my attention.
