Hi John - I'll start a thread on the board in the next week or two, but the short answer is the 6.5 TD seems like it belongs in the GMC, cruised 75-80 mph on I 80 coming back from SanJose, 12.46 mpg including crossing the Sierras and the mountains in S Idaho. I am real happy with the swap. The 403 with a 3.70 would have put a grin on my face as well.
