JR,

A restored split window will fetch up to 50K and I spotted a 23 window combi that went for over 200 large here in Australia!

Rob,
My first car was a 1947 split window bug that I got in high school and it had the 26HP motor. When I rebuilt the motor after
blowing it up I got the last 4 pistons and rings that were in the US from a VW warehouse in CA. In the late 60 before I got out of
the service I bought a 23 window Kombi van with no engine with the sunroof. The big deal at the time was putting a Corvair 110
engine with the Crown trans and starter adapters. Drove it back from FL when I left the Air Force and for about another year before
I sold it to buy by a red Chevelle with a 327/4sp. I guess that I owned both a can only image what they would be worth in todays
world.

Regards,
JR
