My breather rubs on the bottom of my hatch on the passenger side and makes an annoying squeak. Here is my solution.

I noticed that the breather wanted to drop down on the left (snorkle) side which caused the right side to lift up. Thinking that if I can hold the breather level, it wouldn't rub on the hatch bottom, I came up with this:

Which screws onto the bottom of the breather at the base of the snorkle:

The bottom, which has a split piece of vacuum hose on it to protect the paint and metal of the valve cover, sits on the valve cover flange.

This is where the lid was rubbing on the hatch bottom.

And this is the hatch bottom that I had previously ground down about 1/16" in order to provide clearance. It didn't help.

The noise wasn't a constant thing so I won't know if it really works for a few hundred miles. The right side is a good 1/8-3/16" lower than it was and the breather sits flat on the carb. I think it will work fine.
