Got it! The fuel line was split at the inlet, under the clamp, and for
another half inch or so. As the Mythbusters are fond of saying "Well THERE
is your problem!"

I cut off the offending portion and finagled the hose back onto the fuel
pump, and fought the hose clamp. I wound up working from above, hangin over
the engine bay.

She cranked on the first try and there were no leaks!

We are on our way to General Chang's Fine Tool Emporium for a socket to fit
Tom P.'s torque wrench he loaned me so we can snug the lug nuts on to 125
ft lbs.

Lack of insurance is all that is keeping us from moving! Possibly next
weekend. :)
