Chuck is as thin as a rake so if you don't want to take out the wheel well liner you're going to have to jack up the front end to
get under there.

It could be that the clamp is loose or the wrong width. The clamp should be narrow ones which are about 1/4" wide. If its wider that
cold be a problem.

Before you remove the hose check the part you can get to and see if it is pliable or hard. If it's hard go get a new piece, make
sure to get a new clamp too.

Don't disconnect the pump end until you take the other end out of the gas can or gas could siphon out..

Rotten hose probably at least where it's clamped.

Taking a break for a coke while I percolate on how to go at this and see
what the Hive Mind has to contribute.
