When I put in a 3 way several years back I found it necessary to trim each side a bit to allow the new refrigerator to fit. A small electric saber (jig) saw is all you need to do this.

The screws that held the fridge in (4 screws) were partially screwed into the wooden frame, which seemed like the opening was a little too small. Then the opening on our 73 cabinet is 25 1/4 inches wide. We were planning to use the fridge from the 73 , which is a newer 3-way fridge (Norcold). We are using the OEM fridge cabinet from the 77 as a template for the new one, but if we do this the fridge for the 73 will not fit in the opening on the rebuilt cabinet.
