Hello,
We have a dilemma that we hope is a figment of our imagination. We are in the process of rebuilding the refrigerator cabinet in our 77 Palm Beach - Aurora. She's a good girl, but measurements don't add up.
The issue is the size of the opening for the fridge. The original size is 24 1/4 inches wide. Seems this opening is a little too small for the fridge. The screws that held the fridge in (4 screws) were partially screwed into the wooden frame, which seemed like the opening was a little too small. Then the opening on our 73 cabinet is 25 1/4 inches wide. We were planning to use the fridge from the 73 , which is a newer 3-way fridge (Norcold). We are using the OEM fridge cabinet from the 77 as a template for the new one, but if we do this the fridge for the 73 will not fit in the opening on the rebuilt cabinet.
So - what size should the opeing be and is it possible to get a new fridge to fit in the 24 1/4 inch opening?
We are just stumped - not engineers or carpenters here.
cheers and beers
