Ruth and I had our first venture with GMCs when we purchased "Baby" from Marc and Lillian Trubert in the fall of 2007. Since then we have driven Baby for about 13K miles. Baby is a 1978 23' Transmode.

Last January we opted for a 26' and are selling Baby.

She has a 455 with about 135k miles on it. It runs well and uses little oil. (more or less 1 quart per 1000 miles) I packed the front wheel bearings about 4K ago.

Baby is not perfect but really tricked out. Marc totally redesigned the entire interior. It has a a dry shower, "almost queen" bed in back, modern refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, great full extending drawers. Lillian is a great decorator... we even have silverware that matches the interior.

It has a TrueSine 1000 watt inverter, modern charger, Onan Microquiet 4K gen set, macerator, aluminum wheels, thorley headers, 3" exhaust, front bumper tool box, newer roof AC, fancy paint, etc. It even has a cover!

Tires are E rated all steel. They will need changing soon, but I drove it to the mountains this summer and never worried about them.

I have put in a new AC compressor, converted to 134, put on new mufflers and a new radiator core. (New old stock.)

I have pictures in a Word Document that Marc made up. Because he does great work and little has changed, I only edited parts of that. If you don't have Word, I also made an html of the Word document.

It is in the very middle of California and passed CA smog no problems.

$10,000.

Here is a picture of it when we bought it... bottom of the page Nothing much changed other than we put the T-Skirt on and I put regular mirrors on and kept the true view for the new coach.
