Item # 170369955628, auction to end Wed. 19th of Aug. around 8:30PM. Here is the ad...1976 26’ GMC Eleganza

We purchased this “Classic GMC” motor home in 2003. It sleeps 5 adults comfortably on a full size bed in the bedroom, a full size sofa sleeper and a twin size convertible dinette. It has a side “wet bath”. The coach is all electric (no propane) with a Duo- Therm air conditioner with an optional heat strip Most of the interior with the exception of the dash has been renovated/replaced. This includes the windows, walls, flooring, all cabinets, kitchen counter, stove, and stainless steel sink. The dining settee is original and was reupholstered in 2003 to match the new leather captain’s chairs up front. The Norcold refrigerator/freezer is original and works beautifully. We had the trim powder coated black and installed a stainless steel front to the doors for an updated look. We had custom day/night shades made for the entire coach plus a privacy shade to pull across the newly replaced front windshields. This includes a black privacy snap on screen to place across the front windshield on the exterior for privacy when parked. The original side windows were replaced by a more energy efficient style window with a slider opening with screens. The exterior paint is original.

It has a 455 Oldsmobile V-8 engine and a 6KW Onan generator. The transmission was rebuilt at 68K miles. We installed new solid fuel lines, a power converter, and air compressor along with all new hoses. It has a 50 gal. Gas tank & a 30 gal. Fresh water tank.It has the original Zip De awning. It has 2 poly air bags for a smooth ride and leveling from the cockpit. Please note all the improvements listed below and don’t hesitate to call with any questions or to set up an appointment to inspect. We have all receipts from improvements made on the coach since our purchase. Call Don 615-895-3717 or 615-394-6098 or sommarescape@yahoo.com. Located near Nashville TN.

We have many more pictures of this coach at Flickr

PLEASE NOTE..On Good Friday this year, a tornado hit or neighborhood & the GMC received some exterior damage from flying debris. We have tried to document the damage in the pictures. The interior & mechanicals are not damaged. Besides some dents, we noticed the AC is not blowing cold air. The shroud for the AC is damaged and the awning is ripped and likely need to be replaced. Lastly, the side panel to the left of the door is out of it's groove. A picture shows that @ the link to Flickr (above). We have not noticed any leaks. The only repair we have had done was to a hole in the fiberglass on the passenger side rear top corner. Please know that the pictures we took may or may not show up the dents in their true appearance. We tried several angles & showed the best we could.

Our Eleganza sold on Ebay on August 19th for 10,601.00. As stated in our ad, it was damaged by a tornado on Good Friday. We were pleased with the outcome & keep many great memories of trips we enjoyed in the GMC. We were members of Dixielanders from 2003-2008. We attended many rallies & enjoyed the company of a lot of fine GMC'rs.
