it appears that after 12 years of owning my current coach, and wonder what was next to my left knee, that apparatus next to my left knee is what has been called the KISS parking brake. Now can someone explain to me how to use it. Seems similar to what some aircraft have....pump and hold the pedal and pull the button. Is that how this is? I still have the lever hand brake, does the KISS affect that? All help is appreciated.

Sounds like you might have an aftermarket "Line Lock" on the rear brakes as well. Press and hold the brake pedal, then pull up on the button. That traps the brake fluid in the rear brake lines so they are "locked". To release, press the brake pedal again and push the button back in.
Its not a legal parking brake since any leakage in the system can cause to brakes to release.
