Did the original fuel tanks have a convex underside or some other feature to help prevent fuel starvation on inclines at low fuel states? My coach had the original tanks replaced with tanks from a Ford pickup and they don't have the capacity we want, so we're looking at options to replace.

No they are flat on the bottom and just fit between the frame rails. They do have some baffling inside.
