We are currently in northern Lebanon County, PA after a 2796 mile trip from our home in Tucson. On this leg of the trip, we spent $1550.15 on gas, and, thanks to a Walmart stay, a couple of rest areas, several Boondockers Welcome/Harvest Host locations, a stay at my daughter's house, and a free place to park/stay in PA, we only spent about $85.00 on campsites for a two week trip, including half the yearly BW/HH fee.

The motorhome used about a pint of oil the whole trip, and I changed it here in PA for the trip home.

We shot for about 300 miles per day with the longest being almost 400 and several less than 200.

No problems except for the LIBIM on the lithium battery system failed so I was not getting any charge to the the house batteries while underway. A call to Battle Born had a replacement on the way to my sister in law's place and I changed it out the day I did the oil change. Hopefully that will not give us any further problems.

After staying in PA for about two and a half weeks, we will be heading back to Tucson via Chattanooga, TN, Waco, TX, etc. a slightly shorter route. I have posted a lot of photos on Facebook for those on there who might be interested.

Carl,
It is always great news to hear about successful trips in the GMC. Thanks for sharing. I've been noticing on FB that you have been using Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome to save on lodging. Good planning! Are most of those dry camping?

Carl - we have a paved spot with full hookups if you need it. We are about 80 miles North of Chattanooga on the Tennessee River. You are welcome to it.

Yes, most are dry camping, although some offer limited utilities. One even had full hookups, free for Harvest Hosts members.

Appreciate the offer Bob. We stayed at a near perfect location in Chattanooga within a few miles of all the attractions we wanted to see. We are currently in Waco at a COE park with water and electric at the site and a dump station on the way out for $14.00 per night.
