Reading this is amazing. I'm in plenty of groups on Facebook that deal with other things but the community here is nothing like I've ever seen. I plan on making my way to johnny bridges one day. Just to chat and learn. He helped over the phone on how to get my siezed up Onan running....I do have some questions

1) fueling is a pain because gas pump keeps clicking off. I changed fuel seperator and I blew into the tubes. One does seem to be clogged. How difficult is that to change all my gas lines. My issue is I live in an apartment and my GMC is parked in an abandoned lot across the street. (In the middle of house searching)

2) when I first bought the GMC from one of Ken Frey's customers Ken advised me that clear tank has leaks. I checked and there's no leakes but the valve to empty it was opened. So I put It all back together replaced those pipes but now there's a leak under sink...it's a grey pipe polybutlyen I think it's called. How hard is that to change out because I heard that I should consider removing all grey pipe.

3) lastly and sorry for this long email. My generator is running great but I still need to change the oil/oil filter and air filter but what kind of
ticket would I get if I replace oil in this parking lot. Anyone in Atlanta area ever done this lol.

There's a lot more things to list but these are the major concerns I have right now.

Thanks for all your help. Side note I just sent my registration for dixielanders glad to be part of this community.

Derek,

We love to help, but in the future, please start a new thread, they are free and it makes it easier for us to get you the answers you need faster.

As to your fueling issue, this is a very common issue and there are two causes.

If the fill gets shut off almost right away, then the problem is probably that the body has settles on to the fill line right where the rubber ducks under the body behind the wheel well. Sometimes that section of hose can be adjusted (when the tank is low) to relieve the kink in the hose. Maybe you have to replace the body grommets.

If you get to fill for a while before it shuts down, that is a different problem. I know, I fought it for a few years before I identified the actual problem and came up with a fix. That problem is that the rear (aka main) tank fills first and then the fuel gets forced out the vent shut off the vent line from the middle (aka auxiliary) tank. The cure is relatively simple and in expensive. Look up and read "Recommending High T" that I published here some years back. If you can't find it, get back to me and I will paste it into and e-mail to you. Before I did this, fuel stops were scheduled as 45+ minutes. Now they are 10 and that leaves time for other things.
