Hi Derek & Natalya

You have a great looking coach and a very nice campsite there!

I did notice right at the beginning of your video that you have the upper support arms of your ZipDee awning attached in the wrong place. Where you have them attached in the video could cause the lower arms to bend in high winds or with rain collecting in the awning fabric.

The upper arm attaches to the roller shaft where it meets the lower support arm.

Here is a video from ZipDee showing where the arm goes.

I'm still here. Sure do miss the daily load of GMC emails. So easy to save/archive. So easy to reply. Almost always interesting and informative threads.

I've still got my '73 Glacier. Hasn't been on the road much in the last couple of years. The engine fuel & oil problem is well solved, but now it has another fuel delivery problem. I know how to T-shoot and fix - just too much other stuff to take care of.

Although, Ken, if anybody knows, you would -- what is the length of the oil dipstick from the hole behind the exhaust manifold into the pan? My dipstick tube broke off right at the manifold. I have a new one from Jim K., but getting the old one out (whether through the top, or out the drain hole as has been suggested, might turn out to be worse than not having any dipstick at all.

I'm thinking of fab'ing one up as a temporary that is short but long enough to get the oil level at some accuracy.

Glad to know there are still emailers around. There has to be a way to revive it.

Subject: [GMCnet] I'm Still Here

To Everyone,

I'm still here, waiting to hear from anyone who's still using email! I'm
hoping the "GMCNet" email operation will continue -- at 85 yo, having been
here since about April 1998, I'm not likely to make the move over to the
"modern" alternatives. Simply got too many friends here, many of whom I
haven't yet seen, to abandon hope of staying in contact with them. Just
like my GMC -- I've still "got" the one I bought on 30 Apr 98, even though
my son, Alan, picked it up last week to fix the few little ills its
developed while idle for a couple of years. It may never make it "home"
again, but it will always be "mine". Smile

Everyone stay well -- and let's hear from you, if only "Hello".

Ken H.

Ken and others,
So good to hear from you from the other side!

I am still at the Lebanon rally. Everyone is pulling out as I type this.

Ken and you other regular attendees were missed. Wasn't the same without you, but we still had a good time.

By the way I bought my first and only GMC back in July 1998. Ken, you got me by 3 months.

Hope to see you all down the road.

Richard,

I have a special request if you are still there. II was suppose to pick up 2 AC compressors from
Fred Huspeth. I am not there and need someone to transport them north to MI or Indiana. If you have not left
yet would you ask Fred Huspeth for them and bring them this way (North). I can make arrangement later to
drive to you and get them.

Ken,
I would have been very happy to bring that stuff to you had I known. I left shortly after I posted to the GMCNET.
