To Everyone,

I'm still here, waiting to hear from anyone who's still using email! I'm
hoping the "GMCNet" email operation will continue -- at 85 yo, having been
here since about April 1998, I'm not likely to make the move over to the
"modern" alternatives. Simply got too many friends here, many of whom I
haven't yet seen, to abandon hope of staying in contact with them. Just
like my GMC -- I've still "got" the one I bought on 30 Apr 98, even though
my son, Alan, picked it up last week to fix the few little ills its
developed while idle for a couple of years. It may never make it "home"
again, but it will always be "mine". :-)

Everyone stay well -- and let's hear from you, if only "Hello".

Ken H.

I'm with you Ken.  Been here about as long.  Got to admit
There were some here that I don't miss but most all that
hang around are good people.

I only use gmc.mybirdfeeder.net but hear you loud and clear. Less activity here recently, but still best forum for real info.

Glad to see that the list is still working and great to see some old

Hi to all,

I’m new. But I joined immediately after I bought my ‘74 Eleganza SE. Glad
to see some people still use this! Mine is completely stripped out, but
insulated. I flew across the country to buy it and then drove it back
across the country. Broke down 3 times along the way, but got home with
God’s grace and a lot of good strangers. Drove a couple more short trips
and then let it sit for a few months. Now it’s having trouble running.

The dash and fuel gauge never worked (except for the “door open” light, but
now that stopped working as well) so I’m looking for help redoing all
electrical and also an engine tune up. It runs and I know it just needs
some TLC. Does everyone just do it themselves? Or are there any reliable
“go-to” places for hands-on help?

Anyways, if anyone has any leads in the Atlanta, GA area that could help,
please let me know! Or any good diagrams. I’m willing to do the work (have
a construction background, but now I work in the film industry) or I can
pay someone fairly. I just don’t want to get shocked!

Thanks for any help and happy to be part of the GMC community.

I hope the email listserv stays as well. I’ve never sent an email because I have yet to pick up my 1978 Glenbrook that my uncle gifted me to restore. I did however enjoyed reading the responses to others questions.

Hope everyone is doing well

Hi Ken,

Hi to everyone else, although I haven't met everyone, I feel
like I know each of you from post over the years!
I know I don't post much any more, however I have always read
your post. I really miss them. I don't see what is so much more "modern"
about the forum. To me the emails are easier and more natural, I know they
don’t link to a topic etc. who cares. Please someone refresh my memory why
the mailing list has been almost non existent lately? What would it take to
fix that.
Any way Great to hear from all of you!

Still here!
I thought it was interesting to learn that Winnebago now has some National park editions that includes a Canyon Lands RV.

GMC was like Panasonic, just slightly ahead of our time.

Hey all,

still here, and am with Ken. Eventhough I am far away from 85 (well, the distance to 0 *is* longer...), I do prefer email over every forum.

Hope things stay here, and people continue keep it running.

All the best from half way around the world in Germany.
