I have installed new A/C lines, Dryer and a new Sanden A/C compressor, but failed to flush the evaporator and condenser. I filled the system with Duracool and ran it for 5 Min (+-). I have not added Pag oil as of yet.

I want to flush the system and start over making sure to flush the evaporator and condenser. Other than removing the compressor and changing the oil and replacing the dryer, is there anything else I should do to avoid contamination and ensure long life of the system?

Thanks in advance,
Tom K.

Did you suck it down (vacuum pump) and maintain the vacuum for an hour of so before installing the refrigerant?

If you ran it 5 mins with no oil, my guess is comp is toast.

The Sanden compressor I installed a while back already had oil in it when received it. I did drain the oil and confirmed that it had the appropriate amount. I'm guessing his probably had oil preinstalled as well.

The compressor is good, it was shipped with Pag oil. I did vacuum the system down. I just failed to flush the evaporator and condenser. I know the evaporator and condenser had mineral oil and the new compressor had PAG oil.

The big question is, Is emptying and refilling the compressor enough, After flushing of course?

Thanks for the input guys, it is appreciated.

Take care,
Tom K.
