Blog post about Installing a hydromax brake booster from a IHC school bus on the GMC. It fits kinda but is pretty long. Electric backup and requires a separate hydraulic pump. Finally got enough pressure to drag tires with all disc brakes.https://wallyandsue.blogspot.com/2022/01/hydromax-and-gmc-motorhome.html

I think I'll stay with my original brakes.
Work fine and I don't have to do any more work.

I used to have a S.O.B. chassis built Open Road motor home built on a D-200
Dodge Van chassis. 360 Chrysler for power. The power brake booster was
mounted like a GMC motorhome, but after the booster came a right angle bell
crank bracket that the master cylinder bolted to. It allowed the front of
the body to be close under the windshield. It might be easily be adapted to
some of these powerboosters that have been shoehorned under the front of
the GMC. As I recall, that Van chassis was a 75 or 76 year model. Worth a
look, anyhow.
