I just went with Ion's from JimK and have the steel wheels with with Transforce tires.
Tire dates vary back to 2014. I'll give them to anyone who wants them but I'd rather not figure out how to ship them. Pickup in Lincoln, Nebraska.
(Sorry for whoever may have needed them. Storage clock ran out at the tire dealer and they are gone. 9/23/20)

You might check the tires against your spare and keep the best of them (all 7) for your spare. Nice choice for wheels.

Thanks Larry.
I was leaning towards your two-a-year plan and decided to bite the bullet. Cooper HT3's, airsoft beads and the Ion's:$2800. But I hope I don't have to worry about that for a few years. No nibbles on the tires yet, even for free, so I'll probably go with your suggestion. Five to the dumpster though, I have no place to store stuff. Greets to you and Lucy.

If you keep a 16.5 as a spare, never use it on a front wheel with a 16 on the other side, particularly with a limited slip. You're forcing the axles to rotate at different speeds and making the differential pick up the difference.

Thanks Johnny!
I just got a reminder to retain some original lug nuts at well.
Fortunately I hadn't thrown them away.

16 - 16.5 rim really should not matter. most run a 16.5 spare with 16" tires.

tire OD is the same? .2" difference should not really make any difference.
