I know its kinda frowned appon but we are in need of at least the drivers side windshield to get our unit safetied for road use.....anyone have a good set of used ones or at least the drivers side?

Sorta in a bind as the only new ones i can find are in the US and shipping them to Canada is going to cost us almost the price of the glass alone.....the goal is to get them replaced with new at one of the rallies but until we get it safetied its not going anywere.

Do you know anyone in Alexadria Bay? Ship it to them. Go visit them with your old windshield and swap and drive home. Or is that an issue.

I see this is going to be a problem as the only source i know is on the west coast and none off the east coast gmc parts suppliers have replied to my direct email inquiry which i assume means they dont have any...

Sadly the shipping prices from the west coast with the $$$ exchange rate is making this a financially crippling indeavor....i have to find some cheap on the west coast or get some at a decent price from the east.

Rich,

I do not know Canadian laws and rules and bureaucracy, but most of the states here have some kind of "transport for repair" permit. If a vehicle has a issue that it would not pass that states inspection (Like a missing front fender and headlight in my case), you could get one of these permits that would allow you to operate the vehicle long enough to get it to a repair facility.

As I said, I do not know laws for Transport Canada, but it can't hurt to ask.
