Finally replaced my Solaire furnace with 2540 Atwood. Everything works on the old furnace but the ignition coil is weak and sometimes when it starts up it backfires. No known heat exchanger leaks but that is for the recipient to determine. Hate to throw it away. Anyone interested?

I would be interested in the furnace or at least the ignition control.

If you want to drive down to Milwaukee, it is yours. If you want me to ship it, it could be pricey. Also you should be aware that I pulled it out because occasionally it would backfire starting up and I think the ignition coil is weak or the spark plug is defective.
Send me an email at rgogan@ameritech.net if you want to proceed.

Solaire should be on its way to you. Let me know what the insides looked like when you open it up.
