He called me and I sent him to George Z. Seems the Dixielanders one is out on loan. Black List is the move. I told hum, if his mechanic has done this before, the universal kit which the parts houses loan out will probably work.

Hey Guys,
Appreciate all the help. Borrowed the tool from Patrick F. I think his is just for installing the bearings. Didn't have the hardware to pull the bearings.
Anyhow, we pulled the hub/knuckle assembly off my other coach and installed it. Test drive felt good so we'll go with that for the short term. Still need to get the right tool and get the bearing out of the original hub and and the fresh set reinstalled.
Haven't tried getting a generic bearing puller from a parts house, but that could be an options. If that doesn't work, perhaps I can get in line for the loaner Billy has.
Thanks again all!

Andy, depending the condition of the hubs after the bearings are out, decide if you might want Dave Lenzi's modified hubs. Lst time you'll need to do anything but grease them.

Johnny, that makes a lot of sense. I'm always looking for the bulletproof solution. So seem like a really good option.

The options are, replace the front end parts with one of the kits which attaches components from GM built one ton trucks, or replace bearings and seals now and again, or modify the existing hub for a grease fitting - which is what Lenzi does. More importantly, he puts new metal in the bore and then takes it to spec size with a grinder, which results in a smooth continuous surface to interfere with the bearing outer race, which is much longer lived than the OEM which has very small hills and valleys due to being cut instead of ground. The result is a greasable hub which should last the life of the coach...

Some like one, some like the other. I'm ambivalent, although both mine have had stock. Either one represents a front end rebuild done properly.
