All,
I have a good friend that will be looking for a coach, about 30', to be used for voter registration. It needs to be handicapped accessible from the side and possibly through the rear. Obviously a specialty coach. It needs to have a head and genny power. It can be used or new. Does anyone know where we can start to look for something like this?
Thanks,
John

That is a tall order. I cant imagine anything that would come close.
I would think of a
Few things that come to mind. Buy a school bus with a wheel chair lift, but that may be too slow and work for access. Add a bathroom.
Take a GMC and rebuild the rear cap for a 36" door.
You are probably looking at a trailer. If you look at the custom ice houses they build around here in MN and wisconsin. 36" door, drop it easily to ground. Many do come with bathrooms now.

Newmar makes a couple models with a lift for wheelchairs. One model I can think of is the Canyon Star 3911. They have been making them for years.

Hi John, I believe Bob Dunahugh is offering to build a GMC to sell to customer specs. He is well experienced in handicap accessible. He does quality work and is not slow..

Charles B.:
I read Bob D.'s e mail re his 36"entry door and wheel chair access coaches, and believe his was trying to indicate it can be done, but not volunteering to do it.
Now - if you could convince him to - it would be top quality, affordable, and a Gr8 solution.
I have seen both of the coaches that he has refurbished for his wheel chair bound wife - and they are top quality.
They are well planned, well executed, and I believe would be the best solution to the problem, if you could convince him/pay him enough to do one.
JMHO! just my humble opinion!
