Here is a URL for a soft start box add on for our roof AC units. http://www.coastalclimatecontrol.com/index.php/air-conditioning/buy-air-conditioning-products/product/381-easystart-compressor-soft-start-dual-voltage .html

For those who need a lower amp draw on AC start this could be the ticket. I have not personally used one but they are well regarded within the Prevost community. Says it will drop the start load in half. That could be handy with flaky shore power, running two AC units, if your generator is weak or for those few hearty soles who wish to experiment with running AC off of large battery banks.

With a Tesla battery and solar power, I'd imagine that battery powered AC
will be a reality in a GMC in the near future.

Often a failing or failed motor start capacitor will cause the problem. Replacement of a bad capacitor is a much cheaper fix.
