Hello All,
Almost completed the install of the Fitech and need help identifying this part, not sure if it fell off but haven't found it yet.

In the meantime can you tell me what this part is? http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/my-75-royale/p64186-image349.html

It's the small black plastic piece connected to the cruise control cable.

In case I can't find it and need to replace it your assistance identifying will be very helpful.

Thanks again for the help, Merry Christmas & all the best for Health in the New Year.

Regards,
Mike

Jim,
Do you sell this part. It’s the linkage for the cruise control. Also in the process of installing FiTech and this part was brittle and broke.

Looks like the cruise control chain to me. There is a circular clip with a
hole in it that clips to the end and holds it on the throttle linkage
lever. That retaining clip is lying somewhere on your dome. Get yourself a
magnet and stick it in tight places around the base of the carb and you'll
have it. About 1/2 in. circumference IIRC.
Hope were on the same page with this...

I called your office today and ordered a fuel filter. Can you send this part with that?

Thank you for your responses.

Mike, I will have another look around with my magnet and see if it turns up.

In the meantime if anyone has a " cruise control connector " available for sale please let me know?

Thanks again,
Mike

Ball Chain End Ring Connector. I had a similar issue after I swapped my carb for a Dick P rebuild. I think I found what I needed at a real hardware store that had hardware.

Thanks again Mike, I had a look at the website you provided. It appears the end ring connector is the item I require, although a trip to the local hardware store may be in order first.

Regards,
Mike

Lets face it, as a supplier and shop, it makes sense that we should have
these parts or have a sub.
We do not care if it is a one cent item, we bust or rear end to help you

Hate to sound like a ASS, but please use logic here.
You know if you have never bought from us, there is slightly better chance
that we will go the extra mile to help.
I never even look to see if a customer has purchased anything or not, just
want to help.

Well, Im not sure if the comment about a "real" hardware store rubbed anyone the wrong way. That was not the intention, It was meant to imply not a big box store where you cant find anything. I happened to find what I needed at family owned ace hardware.

The link provided was only for the PHOTO of piece that might be needed to solve the problem, and at least the name of the specific part. Not to imply thats where to shop or they had the best price/selection or whatever.

My apologies if it was mis understood.

I did not take your suggestion the wrong way, in fact I found it helpful.

It lead me to a source which offered a possible solution to my challenge, thanks for that.

If possible I would like to locate an original piece, however, I understand there may be options for a more reliable cruise control set-up, regardless, if you have the item I need please let me know?

Jim, if you have the cruise control connector let me know?... the shipping will likely cost more than the part itself?

Mike

Jim is a great help to all. If he was in it for the money he wouldn't be selling GMC parts. He makes great contributions to the GMC community.
