Looking for a Transmission Peep hole cover. The round cover on the passenger side of the transmission. Anyone got one?

Best to replace with a vent fitting and run a hose to the outside of the
frame and put a clear plastic pop bottle so you can see it if it puckes up
fluid.
You can see the fitting on our sight under transmission, not proud of the
cost, but it is a discontinued part and we need to aquire it from a
collector.

Jim, I think he is referring to the round hole that is about 3" in diameter
that is in the torque converter housing on the passenger side of the bell
housing. Most all of them are missing from the transmissions that I have
seen. It is just a snap-in plate. I suspect that it's purpose was to keep
critters out. GM probably uses the hole for assembly or inspection
purposes, but that is a guess on my part. Manny might know for sure.

Cuz, mine is missing...It is the 3" cover on the right side of transmission bell housing. You can see the torque converter with the cover off. I just want to keep stones and the like from getting in there.

Any chance that the cover is same on other GM...say the TH400's?

Gorilla duct tape

I've never heard of a problem that was caused by having this cover missing. I wonder if a missing cover improves cooling.

I haven't either, but Murphy is telling me to do something. So, while Gorilla duct tape is a temp solution, I'd really prefer the original cover.

Larry,
I caught on to the PEEP Hole.
Since I have slanted eyes, a inspection hole is what I would call it.
The Vent hole looks like a peep hole.

Larry,
Since we handle considerable orders each day, we need to process the order
and send it out and close out the orderwhen it ships.
We will put it on your card.
