Any chance anyone has any headers or manifolds for a 455 in the
Phoenix area? We are on the road and greatly appreciate all advice
and/or tips :)

Jr-

He found manifolds were leaking. (No gaskets). When installing remflex gasket his passenger side manifold cracked.

He is looking for a "non-cracked" passenger side manifold for a 455

Shaun- installation of headers will take some exhaust cutting/welding to fit the flandge. FYI. Fastest and easiest way is to stick with manifolds for now.

How much did he tighten them. Only supposed to be a MAX of 14 FtLbs.
Manifold had to be cracked already to break at such a low torque
value. You retorque them after a few hundred miles to the same value
if they are loose.

Thanks everyone. You're right, the manifold was already cracked, and the Remflex gasket only made it worse. I went ahead and ordered headers and will attempt to install here in Bullhead City. We have been put up by some amazing GMCers and we feel very fortunate!

Shaun,
Your header shipped today, so you should receive via UPS Monday afternoon,
