I've been trying to think of more excuses than GMCMI Tuscon travel 1850
miles west next April. This may be one of those excuses:

Ken,
If you guys need a overnight stay we have room in our driveway for your GMC here in Montgomery, Tx.
But if your taking the 20 we might be too far to the south.
Scott.

Ken, generally speaking, the West is described by us who live here as that
territory west of the Continental Divide. When you are talking about coming
West, does that mean the Coastal Regions, as well as the Pacific Northwest?
If so, you have a free spot anytime you show up here.

Here's something a little closer to the Rally that might interrest you;

Ken, we have room for you here in Spicewood, TX with electric and water
hookup and we use a dump station at the State park about 10 minutes away.
Come on over. We're about 200 miles south of Weatherford.

The Weatherford museum and the Dwarf cars look like something we'd like to
do.

Thanks for all the ideas and invitations; I'll save them for reference in
March/April.

This is 20 minutes from my house.... Restaurant is not bad, and it's worth a stop if you are cruising through the area. It's owned or somehow affiliated with the Moncrief family who own a rather large horse ranch just outside of Weatherford. My impression is it allows them to write off their car collection... But that's just a guess on my part and could be totally off... Haven't been up there in a little while, but at one point the museum was open only for very limited hours, so if that is on your list, then call ahead. It has been expanding lately, so the hours of operation may have changed since I was last there...

I believe it is street parking only, though there is a Tom Thumb grocery store a block or 2 away you could park and walk. Heat should not be too bad that time of year...

You've already had quite a few invites from folks in the area to stay the night, but I will add one as well. We have electric water and sewer in our driveway, if you need an overnight, or just a place to stop and hang up your spurs for a bit.

Or if you want some company at the restaurant, it's definitely a good place to relax, eat and talk GMCs Smile
