I was concerned a bit about fuel cost when we purchased the Prevost Country Coach and sold both GMCs but it turns out that concern was for not. The nearly 13 liter Detroit Diesel in the 48,000 GVW Prevost gets about the same mileage as the GMCs, maybe a bit less. We are averaging 7.9 roaming the mountains of the west and western Canada. No long flat land driving yet so don’t know what that will bring. Flling it up (160 gallons in our case) does seem to melt your wallet, but you go 1300 miles on that so no significant difference in fuel cost from the same mileage in a GMC over the same terrain.

Prevost Country Coach

Formerly 78 Royale with most everything done to modernize a GMC mechanically
77/94 Clasco that looked like it just left the Clasco facility. Loved them both.

Read the same article and then thought that a few hundred bucks here and there for the GMC was not so bad after all.

200 gallons of diesel to fill that new coach up, and calculating just that cost was enough to re affirm Im happy with my "old camper".
