Is anyone near Cottonwood, Arizona that can pick up a free GMC? Not sure of
the year or any particulars yet but all windows look intact and aftermarket
paint clear coat is peeling. Property owner just wants it out of there.

More information as I come by it.

It's a '73. Cottonwood near Jerome. Used to belong to James Helbert of
Garrett, IN. Unable to locate him. Land taxes unpaid and GMC sitting at
least since 2010. No title. Also a winnibago sitting there.
More later, ....

There is a James R. located in Churubusco IN. (7 miles away from Garrett

If it is titled in Indiana and more than 10 years old, it is an easy job to get a replacement title in your name. It will cost around $100.

I proved the old adage that the most expensive boat you'll ever own is the one you get for free. I'm wondering if that also applied to motorhomes.

I'm not at all in the hunt for this but just wondering what kind of pushups one will have to do to get permission from whoever owns the property to actually get it and whatever passes for a bill of sale from the county.

I hope someone here or on FB gets it but I'm reminded of the old saw '...ain't no such thing as a free puppy.' I expect the same applies here.

It is easy to get an abandoned vehicle titled in Arizona. Local DMV or a
private title company can do that for you. Best to have the owner of the
property do it but that means two transfers instead of one. One can do it
with permission of the owner of the property.
