I've found what looks like a deal on some air compressors and was wondering if there would be any interest in them before I pursue the deal any farther. They have the same specs as a Viair 380,100% duty cycle at 100 psi,1.34 CFM at 0,.85 com @ 100 from at 0,22 amps max and 200 PSI max working pressure. They really look like a clone to the Viair.I think the price point should be about $100 plus the shipping. If there is interest I,'ll pursue it.
Thanks, Hal

Hal,
I purchased two Viair clones off Ebay. Specs on Ebay were the same as Viair. When they came the specs on the units were way less. BEWARE. Return and refund went OK.

If you have a Sully Bag system 80psi would be maximum pressure to inflate
to highest height on suspension.

You really need more pressure in the tank than what the airbag needs. I
think 100 PSI is a little low but will work.

James, I agree that 110 psi should give you maximum travel however I think the reason some want a higher pressure in their pressure tank is to allow the coach to raise faster. Especially when leveling the coach at a campsite.

I work on these air suspensions a great deal. What limits travel is the
shock absorber travel. Not air pressure. 150 psi is not necessary or of
much value except as bragging rights. "My air system makes more pressure
than yours does" kind of thing. Unless you have a storage compartment full
of anvils, you won't need more than 110 psi. to reach full travel. Less
than that to reach ride height.

Point well taken, but I suspect that all the bends and long runs of small
diameter tubing and height control valving have much to do with speed of
bag filling as well. Some people equate compressor run time with travel
movement, and that is more an issue of control points than movement. Those
water pump switches are notorious for their inaccurate regulation. If you
have a tired compressor that is a little hot, they take quite a while to
reach compressor cutoff, but, the bags are already at pre set heights
before the compressor decides to shut off. My take on it, anyway.

It is a lot faster to lower the coach than raise it. When I level for
camping I start at travel or full raise (which I switch on while arriving)
and maneuver around the camp site until I find a spot where the front end
is low then lower the rear to level. This almost always allows for a low
step in and out of the coach as well.

One of my Canadian friends gave us a matchbox gmc model which he painted to
resemble our coach. I use it as a leveling device. Put it on the dinette
table or the counter top and see if it rolls. If it does, I grab my remote
control and adjust the ride height until it stays put. Works for me.
