Does the onan run fine on modern lubricants or does it need a blend with high zinc content?

Considering that the engine is L type valves in block and the valve springs are 40 years old and the engine never runs above 2000 RPM. High valve spring rates cause high lifter foot pressures in muscle cars --- not the case here. I buy Shell T6 full synthetic on sale with rebates it costs less than chespo oil. That way I use same oil up front and in back.
