Good Afternoon

I'm in need of a new Power Steering Pump Double Pulley. The OEM pulley is 6 1/2" diameter and all I can find is a Dorman 300-121 which is a 5 3/4" diameter.

The pulley is pressure fit. I used the proper puller to remove it and now after purchasing 2 different new pumps the old pulley just slips right on to the shaft with no friction at all. I bought the Dorman and the fit is tight and correct but the pulley is the wrong diameter.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Ray,
We recommend along with other GMC shops the smaller pulley, so don't be
concerned. The PS pump does not have parts that will get stressed much.

Ray,

I currently have two power steering pumps on the floor of my barn. One is 6-1/2 and that one is the older nut fastened the newer that needs the puller that locks into a grove seems to be about 6-3/8 but I was having a hard time and didn't feel like walking across the shop to get a real measuring device. Both are very rusty. You are welcome to both or either if I can get them loose. Just let me know.

Matt
