Thinking about something.....it would need 12v, powered by house or engine batteries inside the AC unit.
Do the coachman built coaches have that there (as if there was a fan instead of an AC unit?

I removed the rear AC and replaced it with a Fantastic Fan. The 12ga, 12V wires were not there, so I used the 10ga 120v wire to provide power to the new Fantastic Fan. Just wire nut the 12v leads to the 10ga at both ends. Could not see any reason not to do it, and just slightly over kill... Wink

Thanks Larry.

I was hoping there would be the 12v AND the 110V AC wiring.

My 1973 had 12v and 120v in the rear most roof hole.
I removed an AC unit and installed a fantastic fan.

If there is not a transformer, rectifier and capacitor would be easier than
pulling a new wire.

There should be both 12v and 120v in the rear on 26' models, however if it was orderd with a rear AC unit the 12v wires if not present they are usually behind the rear drivers side cabinet

John,

This puts him at a distinct disadvantage if he is not running the APU or on Shore Power.

Yeah, plan needs 12v up there when AC may not be.
